I just looked at our own statistics...... there are over 200 THOUSAND posts in the NEF forum, at least 10X the next one I saw. I  went all the way down to check on some possible fishing stuff, the last post was last year. Hell, nobody in Arkansas posted anything since September of last year. ( Guess his cousin said yes... ) OK OK, I know you guys talk the same way about us. Blood crosses borders, I know. I would say though, that if not the most passionate, friendly, helpful, and extroverted, then we certainly must be the most windy................

this has long been known to be a chatty area, but the one that surprises me is the cannon and mortor section - nearly 80,000 posts - more than handloading for regular guns.  How do dat work??
 
Then the second most popular (doesnt excite me at all) is the politics and misc.  Since I have no interest in seeing these I dont really like to use the "recent posts" option on this site.  Too much other stuff to sift thru to scan for the gun related topics - just my thoughts.

That's how I found this wonderful place.    But what keeps me here are the people that are always willing to share their knowledge.

When my computer crashed and I had to get the new hard drive etc and my wife who does all the computer stuff got me back up and running, I came back as twoshooter, after being manatee47 for a year or two, so my posts and trades were wiped off.

I was suprised about the cannon forum also, they are such big bores..........

There is no one registered using that name nor anyone registered with manatee period.

Perhaps you spelled it differently or something? You should not have had to register again just cuz you had a computer crash. That didn't wipe out your account here and if you can figure out what name you really used or the e-mail address used I can prolly get you back up using it again.

BTW the Round the ol' pot bellied stove forum is the next most used forum after this one.

My password was in my original computer and I forgot what it was, so when I emailed the site from twoshooter, from a different location, it said there was already a manatee. I got flustercated and when she got twoshooter working I decided to just quit fiddling with it while I was ahead. I guess if worse comes to worse, I can always get on both computers and talk to myself.

Yeah, would be a problem.  I use to forget what my passwords were for different sites, so I had to write them down.  Darn, computers, if they were so smart, they would just recognize you. 

When you start to talk to your self, it's not a problem, when the computer starts to talk to you, and you answer, that's a problem.

I can reset your password for you with no problem. Going thru the server to get one automatically generated doesn't seem to work very well.

got tired of trying to remember passwords so they are all saved on a program that requires a thumprint reader to activate them my son set it up for me

If I have another problem I will contact you, and thanks. I work with protected info at work (the wonderful HIPPA health care and financial info) and have about 8 passwords that must be changed every 30 days, must have from 8 to 20 characters, cannot be just numbers or letters, must include UPPER case and lower case and numbers AND &%%$# symbols. I have long since run out of options, so now I am doing geometric shapes on the keyboard so I just have to remember the starting point. They got so bad they would only send you your password in regular USPS mail to the home address if you forgot. They also tell you NOT to use things like familiar dates and not to write them down in familiar places. Hell, I cant remember half the time where I wrote them. I am waiting for next year like a kid for recess, so I can retire and become a greeter at wally world and get my 10% off and first chance at the fishing clearance stuff.
