Having some fail to fires on my 308. After reading faqs I think I will take a little of the hammer face. Just wanted to make sure how much the fireing pin should protrude out. I read .050 to .055 is normal. Does that sound correct?
If that dosent work I will try something else. I compared the transfer bar to my h&r ultra slugger. The top of the ultras transfer bar is above the top of the fireing pin when cocked. The 308 is noticeably not as tall with the hammer cocked. It is not even tall enough to be level with the top of the fireing pin. I just want my 308 to be as good as my ultra slugger. That might take some time the way it going. THANKS!! for the help.
