light firing pin strikes marlin 783 bolt action 22mag

this rifle will shoot CCI and Rem ammo, but intermittently fires Win 22 mag ammo. I tried 2 win shells 3 times each and they would not go off. I tried these same shells in a Ruger 7722 and shot perfectly. JP springs sells a spring kit for a marlin 900. would the 900 springs fit the 783? I suspect the striker spring is the culprit??
How difficult is it to disassemble the bolt on a 783?
any help will be appreciated.

Best I can do is point you to the owners manual. It's a slow connection but it does come up after a bit.
If it were me, I'd soak the bolt in cleaner for a bit and I'd bet you carbon flakes or dirt will come out of it. Good cleaning often helps with the light strikes.

Check the rim thickness of the Win. ammo , it could be all or part of the problem if it's thinner than standard . Those bolts are a piece of cake to work on , you can get a new spring from GunPartsCorp .
