Trigger Pull Weight

I've experienced with use on a single day both Contender G2 and Encore pistol frames having an increase in trigger pull weight. Might anyone know anything about this, or am I just lucky?

I don't get what you are asking.  Did the guns trigger pull increase during the time you were shooting?  From what to what? How did you measure it?

I have never noticed that happening with any of my Contenders.  I don't have Encores.

Yes, I perceived an increase in trigger pull during the course of shooting. Upon returning home, using a digital Lyman gauge revealed an increase in the G2 from about 2 lbs 12 oz. to 3 lbs. 14 oz. I don't know what the pull on the Encore was initially, it just seemed to get heavier.
 
I guess I'll take the Lyman with me to the range and check the pull on spent cases since my understanding is that dry firing can damage the firing pin return springs.

Take your frames apart and clean them real good.
I would not think that a single session would make that much difference. I was working on doing a muzzleloader article. I shot right at 3000 shots. I cleaned the frame around every 100 shots. I did not notice any gain but with the Encore having a trigger job it was easy to see the crud on the polished parts. I wanted to protect the frame.
