17 HMR SPORTSTER

Picked up a 17 hmr at gun show today doesnt appear to have been shot much came with 4 boxes of ammo and a cheapo $50 tasco scope for $190 I think that was a decent deal.Also picked up a choate varmint stock and forearm for $40.I am still on the hunt for a HM2 sportster.

I think you did pretty good on the price, for what you ended up with.  I believe an 17HMR Sportster sell for around $200 new, no ammo, no scope, plus tax.  Enjoy your new gun.

Took it out and shot it today I think if there wasnt a gusty wind it would be a little better.when the weather gets a little better we will see what she will do I think it will be a good shooter.shot about an 1" at 30 yards with a gusty wind hard to hold steady in that breeze

Wrangler there is a nib .17 mach2 in a store I frequent here in nebraska they want $199.00 for it dont know if they do transfers if you want there info pm me

my avatar pic is my 1960 Rambler I bought in 1972 for $175..6 banger 3-on-the-tree...drove it for 5 yrs  22mpg.. was "hot-rodding" (LOL) one night...tore out 1st/reverse gear. Drove it that way for 2 yrs(with no reverse and only 2nd and high)  Had to really plan ahead when parking.

Generally they are GREAT shooters!
 
Mine is far and above the most accurate rifle I own! 30 cal sized groups at 50 yards all day long....
