Experiment with your loads shooting at paper to view the spread of shot. On most bp shotguns, I've found that full power loads don't work well, open spots in the pattern. I can't remember the exact loads used, but med to lower loads worked the best. Try it out to see what works for yours. You may also find that you need to protect your left wrist(If you shoot right handed) from escaping gas from the left nipple. A lot of the older guns were just modified chokes in both barrels. You wouldn't want to have screw in chokes on a muzzleloader, my opinion, it would be a hassle to screw them in and out just to load.
