i still shoot a old bear bow it is the fred bear model at 68# it is still a deer slayer so i keep it.
it is at least 13 years old and with a new string it  stacks em tight i see no reason to try and find one that fits or feels better.

Well Boys,
I'm about as hard up for bows and guns as I have been since I was a early 20 something. Wife graduated with her BA earlier this year and I had to part with all but three firearms and no bows outside a 45# ben pearson fiberglass recurve. All to fund her going to three or four interviews a week for months.

Now that momma has a new job, she kept her word and with her first check bought me a new M10 Savage in 308 that is quite a shooter, but that for another thread...

Last year I was running the ( first compound bow) 2010 Fred Bear Charge at 60#... Two weeks ago I thought unless I get off my butt and start carving me out a bow that I'm not going to get to hunt stick and string this year, Buddy had a old ( thought maybe 1995 to 1999 ) Alpine Rebel that had been sitting on his shelf for 3 years , well I took that used lefty home for $32 and change.. Got to the pro shop I use and had them set me up on the super cheap ( some actually good used equipment ) Had a trophy ridge fiber site off my wifes sold off 2010 Young guns bow, thats cheap enough , got the Octane rest for $15 and a TRU release for $10.. Had to get the quiver new for $ 20 , Apex stabilizer for $10 add to that another $10 for a new tension peep and kisser and I have a bow that ( found out its a vintage 80s bow by the way) that is stacking them up in a 1-1.5" area at 25 yards...

I'm running the Trophy Ridge 550 Hail Fires
125 Magnus Snuffer that are going right where the field points do.
And 4" feather flecthing.  It will be an interesting season lol

Hadn't had a hunting bow in 14 or so years and got back in a couple of years ago on the cheap with a PSE Stinger.  It is a very accurate bow (1 robinhood within the first 2 weeks of purchase).  Didn't get to shoot a deer with it last year, but got a doe on opening morning this year and a button buck on Election Day.

I have already been looking at the Martin Silencer to replace the Stinger, but I really feel that the Stinger shoots so good that I don't want to make the jump just yet.

Yep, just talked myself out of a new bow!

A 15 year old Golden Eagle Evolution. As long as I do my part it does its. It's not as fast as the newer bows but it's a lot quieter WITHOUT all the vibration dapening junk added to it.
Just another worthless opinion!!

Update #2:

I now have a 2012 Bowtech Insanity set at 70# and the Invasion (also set at 70#) will now become my 3D bow. I am sorry to say the the Guardian will be sold here real soon...wife said that one has to go!

For Mother' Day I bought her a new Bowtech Heartbreaker in Black Ops with pink strings. So her Bowtech soldier will be her back up. I am hoping to get her into 3D shooting as well.

Well lets see I regularly shoot my Blacktail takedown recurve at 54#, have another Blacktail one peice recurve at 55#, keep an old Indian Archery Cochese 40#er in the garage strung most of the time for shooting when ever  and this past year picked up a Dwyer original longbow  66inchs 54#,    Have shot three out of the four with the last week....
