358 JDJ -v- steel plate
« on: February 18, 2012, 07:23:49 PM »
My friend had a few of these plates he got from somewhere.  They are 1/4" thick.  He used one identical to this one to make a plinker for his rimfires.  He saw the 358 in the truck today and wanted me to shoot it to see what it would do...well the 180sspb blew a hole right through it at 100yds.  I was kinda surprised myself...I thought it would probably just ding it real good.

I like the way you evenly spaced out the shots of the 3 shots on the sides. Now that is some shooting ;D

I too am surprised at that hole for 100 yards

Yeah, my buddy told me just yesterday that in 'Nam they learned real quick that the steel sides of the trucks were no protection in an ambush.  Had to line them with sandbags.  Goat
