New shotgun
« on: February 21, 2012, 10:40:57 AM »
I bought a NEF pardner shotgun today and I have 2 questions about it.  Its a 2006 model bought new.  The barrel has a screw in choke.  Can you put more chokes in it and where do you get them from?  My other question is about the finish on the frame.  It looks like brushed nickel.  Is that what it is?  This is a SB111C model is that helps.

This will answer at least one of your questions (from the FAQs section above):

Sources for choke tubes for H&R shotguns that use choke tubes?

The Winchoke system of chokes = Winchester/Mossberg 500 series/Browning Invector, will fit the H&R shotguns that accept choke tubes.

Also, I'm sure the finish is brushed nickel if it's factory. Other than various grades of blue, and camo on some specific guns, I've never seen another factory finish on an H&R/NEF.
