What do we have to do
« on: January 27, 2004, 02:31:33 PM »
I am a little curious. It seems as if everyone was happy with the run of 7600's in 35 Whelen this year. I am wondering if anyone is interested in the 7400's in 35 Whelen. Would there be enough of a demand to get someone to do a special run of these. I would love to get one, but the last one on gunbroker was way to expensive for my tatse. A special run I hope would at least bring the price to where it should be or so. Rebarreling costs way to much also. One other thing that I have often wondered about. Would there be a demand if someone were to make special runs of the 7600's in calibers like 300 Savage and 7mm-08 Rem in a carbine version and say 250 Savage(?), 223 or evan 22-250 in a full rifle version. Finish on these guns I hope would be wood stocks and blued metal.
Maybe it is just me, but I get bored with "standard" calibers. Is there anyone else intereted seeing these guns in some oddball calibers?
Just wondering if anyone else has this same problem I do.  :-D

Well I have my 7600 carbine 35 Rem in my safe. But am waiting on funds to complete the sale on my 35 Whelen. So I should not be talking about a new gun already... But since you asked.....In a 7400 the 35 Whelen sounds good, but I am not hot on a new auto at this time, but if a run was done I would have to find the money.

In a 7600 I would be very interested in a 35 carbine with the matte finish and synethic stock for my son. I saw one last year in a local shop but they wanted $550 and I thought it was too high.

In a 7600 rifle I always wanted a .222 Remington. The .223 would make more sense these days.

I know of a shop with a 257 Rifle new in the box but again they want crazy money, 700 if I remember right. Yes the 257 carbine sounds good. How would the 257 do in a short barrel? MIKE.

Just FYI Remington wants 500 rifles according to Grices to do a run. MIKE.
