Good going judge.    Hope the gal gets the same judge, same sentence.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Should have gotten BOTH pleas first - then sentences.  If you can't do the time, don't commit the crime so the saying goes...a good deterrent.  I particularly liked the Judge's common sense rationale.  I wonder how long the ACLU waits to take issue with this sentence...certainly someone must have abrogated these Defendant's Free Speech (NOT!), didn't read their Maranda rights (NOT!), left a loophole loose somewhere (hope NOT!).

If these folks start getting actual punishment instead of a slap on the wrist I expect these activities will drop off dramatically
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

Everyone on their side will wait till after her trial.  Then the ACLU lawyers will come out of the woodwork.  Especially if she gets off or gets a lighter sentence.  Then they will both go to appeal, and that is where I expect them to get off.

Fur suddenly seems more fashionable than ever. We need more stories like this.

It reminds me of a plane hijacking case that I believe was tried in the Netherlands. A plea agreement was worked out. The perps plead guilty in court. And the judge sentenced them to many many years in prison. The judge explained in effect that they plead guilty, therefore there is no need for a trial, and our punishment for hijacking was the sentence.
