Will the G2 30 30 rifle barrel fit a regular contender stainless frame?

G2 barrels will interchange with Contender barrels. The G2 barrels should fit all contender frames. The contender barrels will fit G2 frames. Ed

As I understand it NO. Contender barrels will fit the G2 frames but supposedly not vice versa. The G2 barrels supposedly have a lug that is not present on the contender barrels and will not allow attachment to a contender frame. The lack of said lug on a contender barrel does not interfere with attachment to a G2 frame.

{the only G2 barrel that wont fit a standard Contender frame is the 209x45 barrels} Can this barrel be modified at all to fit the older frames? say mill work on the block

?? as this barrel was the one I was waiting on :x

Jetflyer, the 209x45 barrel was made in such a way as to NOT fit on the older Contender frames as a safety measure. The G2 frames are stronger and capable of handling the 209x45.
