Hello,
I am blessed to have a 500 yard range at my house and if I charged $10 a gun, I could about buy a gun a month from now on. I have a few friends who have really been filling my clay bank with lead lately. Let's see, just last weekend, 3 guys and a chap came over. All of the following guns were fired: NEF .243, .308, 45/70; AR-15; AR-22; .22 Hornet; 3 ea. .22; 2 ea. .357 pistol; .40 S&W; 2 ea. .45; 30 carbine pistol and 2 shotguns. So, after a little arithmatic, I see that I would be due $180. But, NAH, I like sharing my range with the gun nuts I hang with, and I know for sure that they are shooting in a good safe place with absolutely NO CHANCE of getting in trouble. I realize that people who run public ranges must charge enough to allow them to continue staying open and at $10 a gun, they should be making a profit. I know that few people have the good fortune to live on a private 500 yard range, so I will continue to share it with those who are responsible and respectful. Have a great safe day.
Dave
