Mossberg 464
« on: December 09, 2011, 08:20:54 AM »
I have been reading great reviews lately about the Mossberg 464 the other night I was poking around looking for info on it and saw that someone claimed to have a 16" version of the 464 but it isn't listed on there sight can anyone shed light on this? It has me rather curious. Thanks for your help.

Well Davidson's has the brush gun variant with the Marine Coat finish stainless and laminated wood.  I really wanted one, but never got finances cleared before they were outta stock.  8(  http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx?item=41050

That would certainly be an awesome brush gun. Fit nicely in the truck. I'd be interested in that but alas we can't get them. Thanks for the info.

Here's mine.  Shoots great, super handy, and it's just plain fun to hunt with.

Definitely.  I want one bad, but they only come into stock around Christmas (ie. wife has me broke) and then I cannot locate them when I do have money.  Ah well, will keep hoping...  ;)  Thanks for sharin.  Do you records of groups etc?  My buddy's std. one is about a 1.5" group from a good rest with the longer barrel at 100 yards, just curious how this compact version stacks up?  ;)

About the only things I would ask for are no safety (I can live with it), a slightly larger lever for cold weather gloved hands, and maybe add a .35 Rem chambering.

Just nitpicking - I agree it's a nice looking truck/woods gun just the way it is.

Thanks to this thread I raised the money and picked one of these up.  What a beauty!  Well worth the coin.

picturerock - Maybe you could give us a report on it after you've had a chance to shoot it some?

Been contemplating one too.  Hope it works out for you!
