My  162 buck arrived today, it is exactly as discibed.  it shows use and a lot of care. good bore lyman sights. Since it is  a spoil the 3year old grand daughter weekend . It will be at least tomorrow before I go th the club. (grand kids don't stay little long) the gun will be there tomorrow

Made it to the gun club today. fired federal #8 target loads . these are 25 yard game getter, federal heavy feild loads #4 grouped well enough to be a 25 yard came load.  winchester slugs shot decent to be 75 yard big game loads . federal 00 buck grouped fair
I plan on trying federal flight control 00 buck . and a few different types of slugs all in all I am happy with the gun

Very nice , sometimes H&R screws up and puts some great wood on a gun , but not very often .  ;D

I thought it had been refinished it, but in looking for info  I found mentioned twice the model being light stocked  including a post of MSP ret here. so it my be original finish.   it dates to 1977
