I thought I would give everyone a report. I just installed a Butler Creek bull barrel in 17HMR on my Ruger 10/22 magnum. I bought two; one for me and one for my shooting buddy. Mine functions flawlessly and gives a 1" group at 100 yards. My buddy's gun would misfire about every 4th or 5th round, however it did shoot groups like mine. He called Butler Creek and they told him to send it back and they would send him a new one and re-imburse him his shipping. I don't know if I'm going to end up as a big 17 fan or not but this is a good start.
