New Raging Bull 44 Mag
« on: April 19, 2012, 02:31:39 PM »
Just traded my son the 06 for his Raging Bull 44 mag.  Grip seems a little thin on the palm side.  Does someone make a grip that is a little wider ?

Yes it is.  Recoil for 240 grain win is about like my Dan Wesson 357.  But the 44 is ported.
Last 44 I had was a Ruger super black hawk with 71/2" barrel.  The Taurus is a pussy cat in comparison.  Again, its ported.  Still looking for grips other than stock.

I've always heard of people looking for something smaller for a grip!  I really like the RB grip, good solid piece of rubber, and really grippy too, doesn't move in your hand.  But I guess I can see what you are talking about, with their red backstrap, though it's meant to help with recoil, it is one strip down the middle that sticks out and doesn't wrap around like other grips.

I haven't seen anything aftermarkets for it... not even a hogue sadly... but haven't looked that hard.  Maybe find some leather wrap and make it custom and purdy?

I got my .44 RB last year to be my .454 RB's partner.  I can shoot ragged holes in a pop can all day long at 15 yards with plinker loads.  Now when my buddy H110 comes into play they open up a bit.....  but that comes with the territory.... because usually the can doesn't make it a whole cylinder, so I don't need to worry about one hole!
