Hi guys, been a long time since I was here last but I am almost finished with my 1926 Ford Model T = so next comes full scale cannon.

I was looking at park dpt. copies of this cannon and the casting marks are very bad, but on the originals you can not see anything but the stampings... What is the best way to clean these up with out a metal lathe so they look more like the casting of the originals.  How would I stamp the information about the cannon in reproduction?

I think you could have good sucsess with a good quality automotive flexible disc sander but you need to know what your doing keep a lite touch stay away from the trunnions and take your time, if you rush you'll gouge it and make a mess of it..... sand with the contour and all should go well.....
By good quality automotive flexible disc sander I mean a profeshional grade not some disc sander you add to your drill.....

Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!
