Police charge New Jersey man found looting in Henryville home

(WHAS11) -- Police in Southern Indiana said they have arrested a man after he was caught looting damaged homes in Henryville.
Police said homeowners caught Matthew Smith of New Jersey cutting copper out of a home on Pine Drive around 2:30 p.m. Smith tried to run into a wooded area but police quickly caught up with him.
Smith has been charged with felony burglary after police said he admitted to chopping the copper so other people would not steal it - he is being held without bond.
