I have a similar factory gun , black finish metal , green/gray Hogue over molded stock set up with threaded bbl. Want to replace bottom metal with steel soon. I added a 3-9 X 40 , VX-R scope .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Its compact , Its accurate , His has a better stock I'm thinking , both can benifit from a suppressor as both recoil reduction and accuracy can be a benifit along with shooting less hearing protection. So its good for hunting in a blind, its easy to have in a truck, its good at the range ( less bbl less time to screw up the shot ) and the list goes on.

Unless you use subsonic ammunition, it will not be quiet, it will be quite loud. So much for shooting quietly. If you want it quiet, you need subsonic loads of 220 grain bullets at 1050 FPS, shot from a 1:8" twist barrel. Choose the bullet carefully, most don't open at that velocity. Yes, it's compact, but it also seems heavy with that short heavy barrel, so it would be a dedicated rifle for shooting from a rest, not quite the best balance for shooting from realistic field hunting positions, and slightly on the heavy side.
As far as increasing accuracy with a sound suppressor, it's probably insignificant in an already accurate rifle. Yes, shorter barrels are stiffer, may be more accurate than longer tubes. Why a rifle in the truck? Reminds me of a dude who got a fractured skull and a severely bruised face when he flipped the truck and a rifle and a shotgun fell on his head. Otherwise he was a nice guy.
Let's just say it's a big boys toy. Paint and plastic? Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy.

Nice post anweis , quiet is in the hearing , With a good suppressor standard rounds will have their signature reduced to a level where hearing protection will not be necessary . I have shot suppressed 22 LR,9mm, 308 and 223 . 308 both sub sonic and standard loads thru. it Same for 9mm. The 223 only standard loads. With a 22 most loads are quiet, subsonic more so. With a 308 or 223 the sound is much like high pressure gas being let out when standard loads are used. Not needing hearing protection . That would be nice . I don't know your experience with suppressors but mine has shown a reduced signature with any ammo , reduced felt recoil and in some cases better accuracy. Some suppressors work much better than others reducing the sound. As for subsonic 308 ammo , I have seen it for $50.00 to $180.00 a box of 20. I doubt I shoot much . I really have little need for total quiet at the range. A friend has a suppressed 44 mag rifle . With 44 spl. ammo it is about as quiet as it gets . You should read up there is a suppressor out there for most any application even 50 BMG.

How do you like that VXR i heard, that the rectical are kinda heavy for long range, i was thinking of the 3-12x40 bal..firedot.

They are heavy , I plan to supress mine and not use it long range really . I would think the fire dot would block out to much at long range if it were on.
Check though I think I saw a fire dot scope with thin lines . When the dot is off you don't see anything but like a normal scope.
