Lady Hoggers?
« on: December 01, 2011, 09:36:51 AM »
Flipping channels last night (directv) I came across a show called Lady Hoggers.   Anyone seen it?  Interesting show I guess.  They are from Texas, and run hog dogs, in a friendly competition with a hog dogger from Florida.  Lots of work, for a single catch over a several day period in an orange orchard.

I watched it last night for about 20 minutes.. and saw it once before (watched the whole episode) a couple of weeks ago..

Didnt do anything for me.. I dont intend on watching again...

Way too scripted...

and very overt in their attempt to lure you in with T&A rather than a real story line (big busted women with low cut tops constantly bending over in front of the camera, running around in the woods.. rather than actually showing you what they are doing, how they are doing it, and why they are doing it)..

The other episode I saw was substantially worse about presenting T&A rather than a story than the one I saw last night.. it even ended with them laying out in bathing suits by the pool, drinking margaritas, celebrating their "catch"..

If I want an evening of busty women in bathing suits, Ill go find an old episode of Baywatch on the sattelite..

I kind of expected a show with the word "Hoggers" in the title to be a little bit more about hogs (4 legged kind.. as opposed the the 2 legged kind..)

I recorded the two episodes last night but haven't watched them. We saw a couple other episodes a week or so back and enjoyed it. I have to say it's far better than any of the hunting shows on the various hunting channels. It's all show and action except during the commercials and the whole show isn't one long commercial.

There was another even better one but I can't find it again. It was something like Hogs gone wild or some such name. All action and darn good action. Commercials were normal for a TV show not a hunting show. I hope I can find it again as there were several episodes of it and I only got 2-3 of them.

I've been recording it and watching the episodes. I saw the adds for it during American Hoggers...now it looks like American Hoggers has been taken off the air just after 9 episodes.

So far I've enjoyed the show... 8)

I watched that show last night. It was not that bad. The girls appear in my openion to be just eye candy. They have a little knowledge though. I would watch it again. Out of the "hog" shows it put forth the least amount of miss information. they only referenced 800# hogs once. I agree with GrayBeard, I truly enjoy Hogs gone wild. My only worry with all the hype about hogs is that it will become like deer hunting, a place to sell a bunch of crap you don't need.

:)  Howdy! There is one show I've seen a few times but can't remember the name of it. However, it is a family of hog hunters here in Texas. They use their expertise with dogs to catch hogs. In these episodes all participants, women included, seem to have lots of experience. However, sometimes it seems like the same old thing over and over. Always, Gene

That is the American Hoggers program.

I laughed every time the Dad would talk, because they had to run sub-titles...you couldn't understand a word he said.  :o

Doc, your post cracked me up.   I don't know if it is the same 2 women that someone on these boards posted about a while back.  I saw them at the TTHA show a year ago, talked to them a moment. There are a number of kids in my wife's 5th grade class that watch it.  She said because their families are hunters.  I'm thinking any 5th grade boy is going to enjoy the program and not for the hogs.    ;)

I'd like to see them catch a greased pig.  ;D

The show would go like this:
Invite them over for a poolside BBQ. Once everyone is in swimsuits and had a few to many drinks them, have a greased pig catch. Grease up a pig in a pen and let them have at it.

That show would get great ratings.

IMO the only show worth watching was AMERICAN HOGGERS. Hogs gone stupid and lady hoggers were a discrace to hog doggers. If you read hog dog forums you would see where 99% would agree with that statement LOL.
