Mother in Laws Guns

My mother in law just handed me these firearms that have been in a closet in her house for years.  As far as I can tell, and I could use some help or info this is what they are:

From top to bottom:
Stevens Mod 311A, Savage Arms Co, 12ga
a 1917 Eddystone Enfield 30-06 that has been sporterized
? Military bolt action.  Anyone recognize it?
a wonderful old exposed hammer, double trigger Hartford Firearms Co, 12ga. You can see in another pic that it had been repaired with a leather strap nailed to the cracked stock
Single shot "Ranger" model 35 .22
Mossberg Mod 385KB bolt 20ga
in the original box Colt 38 Super
Also in its original box a Galesi 6.35 cal semi auto/  Anyone know anything about this caliber or Galesi guns? Made in Italy

Thanks phoneman7. What caliber was the Springfield?  It is not completely original. Someone had drilled/tapped and added two short Weaver style scope bases to it.

Hi Mark,

The Galisi is a 25acp...might have a bit of collector value in the condition that it is.  I once had the pipe dream that I would collect 25acp pistols as they could be had cheaply for the most part.

The Colt is the crown jewel! Hang onto that one (or sell it to me!!!)

I once had a Galesi it was a 25acp as already stated as is yours. I liked that little gun a lot. I consider it one of the better made of the tiny little guns of that sort. I don't remember when or why I let it go but many times have wished I had it back. I've seen darn few of them for sale since. I have no clue what they are worth.

These days you can get 32acp and even 380acp guns just as compact as the old 25s and 22 short guns that were so common back in the '50s and '60s so not many folks want to carry a 25 for self defense anymore.

Another cool thing about the Galesi is that it has the original folded owners manual in Italian in the box.  Really cool.  Did find that the Hartford 12ga was made prior to 1920, and as early as 1890's in the USA, and sold in a hardware store in Missouri. At least that is what I am finding online so far.   Hey Doc, think I will put a few rounds of 38 Super through the Colt, clean it and store it away.  Really nice pistol..

should be a 30-06 unless someone reemed it our to 35 whelen or something, but i doubt that

Here is what I see.
The original 03 springfield would go from $500-$1000 depending on matching numbers, bore condition etc.
The 03 sporterized would go for about $500, actions alone sell for about $300 and up.
The SAvage 311, I have one like it, would go $300-350
The ranger single shot, $100-150
The exposed Hammer shotgun, if barrels are tight and in good shape inside, would go at least, $250 here for a wallhanger and up.
The mossberg bolt action  shotugn would top out at about $100 here, most folks wont give them a second look.
The Galesi would go for $200 or so, here, saw one sell at a recent gunshow for this, in the box unfired, might go a bit more.
The Colt would be thru the roof, Colt collectors would be lined up. I would think about $1200 up for this one, would need to see it more closey, see the model and year references.
These are real market values here, as I see them, ran a gunshop for a long time, but markets fluctuate, and economy has impact on it also. Nice pile of guns, would love to have them all.

Thanks for the replies and info.  I noticed the 03 Springfield appears to have had its rear sights removed in order to have been drilled and tapped for scope mount bases. Think I will check Collectors Firearms in Houston for original rear sights and put them back on, + add a bayonet.  Would like to shoot that one. It is dirty, but seems solid.
 
The old SXS is going on the wall.  Wish I knew its personal history, as it appears to have been well used. From what I found online it was built between 1890 and 1920. After 1920 they stopped making the exposed hammer models
 
I had actually fired the sportorized model many years ago with some handloads. I knew the owner well, but he passed away 20 years ago. I think most of these guns likely were his.
 
The Colt is around 80%+ original finish. It doesn't appear to have been handled or fired much at all.
 
Think I will see if the 311A fires and keep it handy.  It should have been made prior to 1961 based on the "A"
 
Any idea who made the "Ranger 35"  .22?

OF mossberg and son made the most of the Ranger rifles, had them both at the same time, and parts would interchange.

That is a sweet pile of old guns. I had a Galesi taken away from me about 30 yrs ago at the boarder going into Canada had always kept it in a old oil soaked sock in my tackle box forgot it was even there when they tore us down during the crossing. never gave it a second thought until many yrs later. Kurt
