My son's Davey Crickett w/ scope & bipod

Conner is only 5 years old. He really enjoys his Davey Crickett 22 LR (under close supervision of course). I just thought I would post a picture and short video. Video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xp6XDwfKa8

I like the smile on that young mans face.  Great equipment to start a life long bond in the shooting sports.  Youve got him started Dad, now there is no letting up as long as he fulfills his end of the bargan.

My son started at a similar age with his .22 Chipmunk and Redfield scope.  The darn thing was so accurate we would set up the empty cartridges as targets.  That was a lot of deer and elk ago.

I love Cricket Rifles.  Wish I could find one with about 1 1/2" more pull and I would have the same look on my face.   :)

OT.   I added a 1" spacer between the stock and buttplate.  but an adult walnut stock is available for 50 bucks.

I picked up one for my grandson Wyatt's 4th birthday I believe it was. He's gotten pretty goo with it but is still too short for a scope so I have a red/green dot sight mounted on his. He gets to shoot it most every time I'm on my back yard range which is kinda his front door range.

I got my grandson Joey a TC Hotshot this past CHRISTmas but his dad has only brought him over a couple times to shoot it so far. Unlike Wyatt he doesn't live in my backyard so doesn't get to shoot as often.

Of the two rifles I think I like the Hotshot better tho both are very accurate. Joey is older and taller so he got a scope for his.

Joey and his rifle CHRISTmas morning 2011.

Wyatt and his rifle.

I have a Stevens Favorite in the safe for the first grandchild.  They are slow coming.  I guess I trained the boys to well while they were in high school...
