Star Ultrastar

Anyone own one of these? I have a chance to buy one in 40 S&W that has less than a box of ammo through it, in the box with both mags. I'd like to hear some feedback from any Ultrastar owners.

I am not a big fan of Star. I don't even know if they are in business anymore.
My suggestion is that there are better offerings out there.
If it is a price consideration--I would still look elsewhere.

Willie,
The price is hard to turn down. Star has been out of business for a while now but having owned one of those Supers in 9mm Largo, I've aquired a liking for their guns. Someone I work with has this for $150 and it's hard to find anything that shoots for that today. I know it doesn't have high end quality but in it's day, it wasn't a bad gun.

I'm interested to know if you took the deal? I have been dying to get my hands on a Ultrastar 40. I have one in a 9mm and would rather have the 40.  :)

Yes, I bought it. Thought it came with two mags but only had one. The thing is like new.
