6.8 spc ??????????
« on: June 19, 2012, 01:17:37 AM »
It seems there are several (3) different chambers for the 6.8 spc that specs are known . Then there are producers that offer their own chamber and don't publish specs. The first chamber developed at remington can cause high pressure due to a short lede and sharp angles . It has been changed . Most of the difference is in the lede . It can restrict bullet weight choice and bullet choice with regard to shape. So which is best and how do you know what you have short of a chamber cast ?

It seems like every new caliber comes with a web forum; I'd suggest browsing 68forums dot com.  There's a bunch of discussion on there about "standard" 6.8 versus Spec II chambers, etc.

Bunch of good people over there...Including me.  A lot of good knowledge and patient people eager to share with those ready to listen and learn.  The place is not as rabid as the 6.5 forums...
