Birthday Dinner
« on: March 26, 2012, 06:35:44 AM »
My neighbor and hunting partner Norm and his wife Linda ask us over for dinner Saturday evening.  Saturday was my 63rd birthday.  Linda turns 63 next month, Norm turns 63 in July.  Dinner consisted of Caribou Brats, from last falls Caribou.  Potatoes, green beans, squash, and carrots, from Norm's garden.  The pie was made from Blue Berries they picked last fall.  So it was a completely Alaskan Dinner.  Those Brats were delicious, I kept going back and grabbing more as the evening wore on.

Norm had said that was the last of the garden produce, due to his Grandkids coming and staying so much.  He is going to increase the size of his garden next year.  Plus he is getting low on Moose and Caribou meat.  We will need to take more animals this fall.  Norm said he really needs a couple of Spring Black Bears this spring.  So we are gearing up for Bear Season.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
