I've been looking for a super simple little carry rifle in single shot. I want it to be under 5 Lbs (it is a .22 not a .308), under 36 inches and great open sights (it will not be scoped). The Acu-Bolt almost fills the bill BUT I hate the stainless finish. What do you think of taking the thing out of the stock and hitting it with a rattle can of flat black?
Forgot to add I want it in .22 WMR too. Which ruled out the Rossi right off.
