Serious question, When he left the military after being trained as a gunsmith he started working a breech loading field gun.  I don't know wha titi was or if it was ever completed.

The above reference said he and brother Wilhelm built a model that was acquired by the King of Württemberg about 1860.  That is why I picked the Landesmuseum Württemberg to inquire about it.

It was just a question in passing as I saw the reference to Mauser and an artillery piece when I was researching Boer War  Mausers.
