Brock was a "pro wrestler" before he went to the UFC. There isn't as much money to be made in the UFC as there is pro wrestling. He did ok at the MMA fights and even held the title for a bit. Brock has a very strong wrestling background from college. UFC fighters last about 3-5 years then just can't take the punishment anymore. A pro wrestler can go for 30 + years. A well liked wrestler might make  4 thousand plus a show  doing 3 shows a week while he wrestled. MMA fighters get alot less and a title fight you might clear 400 thousand.

Basically he took the opponent down, then pinned an arm down and just pounded the heck out them. He ran into trouble with guys that had a good boxing/martial arts background. Brock is just one big dude, lots of muscle and great wrestling skills.
