I picked up a used 20 gauge barrel to add to my .44 mag Handi in the hopes of building a box set with 3 or 4 barrels. Anyway the gun won't close on with this barrel.
My next thought was to try it on my .223 Handi and it was the same. Since I had the 2 guns out with the barrels off, I figured I'd see if they'd swap and sure enough they will. The .223 barrel locks up perfectly on the frame that came with the .44 and the the other way round. If one wasn't blued and the other oxide black, I'd have to check the numbers to keep them straight. The .44 was made in 2000 and the .223 a year later which makes sense since I bought the .223 new early in 02...
I'm not in the mood to try and fit the 20 gauge shotgun barrel today so it'll have to wait...
