Herters Shell Holders
« on: April 02, 2012, 11:14:40 AM »
I have a herters press that the shell holders screw on. My Dad has one  it is a lot bigger and shell holder just slip in to the ram.
Looking for shell hold size list.My Dad would like to reload some 44 mag shells. I can not find my shell holder for 44 mag that screws on and my Dad has never had a 44 mag shell holder for his press.
My problem is we do not know what shell holder number we need to look for to get my Dad going
on his 44 shells

The 'slip in' shell holders are universal, any brand of .44 shell holder will fit and work fine.

Adaptor??? Re: Herters Shell Holders

I think it is ch4d.com that sells an adaptor for the Herter press. Screw in the adaptor and the press will take the more modern "t" slide in shell holders. Might find one on ebay. Herters sold tons of stuff. Having one made would be a pain but doable for any machine shop. Luck.

+1 Ch4d has the shell holder adapter  for both thread and non threaded rams.
