Load for Encore Rifle in 500 S&W

Greetings,

I picked up a 22 inch VV Encore rifle barrel in 500 S&W the other day.  Now I gotta start the load development process.  I've got W-296 powder on hand.  Any load suggestions or advice?  I'm thinking a Hornady 350 XTP / W-296 combination, because of the cost of the Barnes bullets.  I'm interested in a stout load (to compete with my buddies 45-70 rounds).

Out of Smith, I shoot the 350 Hornady XTP over 42gr H110 and a 440 LSWGC over 38gr H-110. My scoped 500 keeps them inside 4" at 100yds all day long . The scope is the real roadlbock-it's only a Leupold 2x.  :shock: I've shot many,many  1 1/4" 50yd groups quite often. This all from bench and bags though. No chrono yet--too cold.  :cry: I have not tried 296 yet. Topgun.
