Picked some asparagus today

Last night it was 26 and had snowed during the day. Today I picked my 1st spears of the year...and tonight it is going to get down to 19.  Gotta love UP weather.

Found a wild fern not far from my house last fall.  Picked the first new spear yesterday and ate it on the spot.  Expecting some more.

I had alot of asparugus coming up over the last couple weeks. The frost at night has been wreaking havek on them.

Saw 3 people cutting it in the road ditches on Sunday, already got one cutting off my Dad's patch but forgot to cut it this weekend. The frost from last week was hard on it here as well.

I know this isn't the recipe forum but we should post some asparagus recipies over there.
