LOL!!! I have to justify NOTHING. Romeny is a socialist gun grabber......matter of public record. Paul on the other hand is a proven constitutionalist..again, a matter of record.

It's also a matter of public record that when congressional republicans pledged to stop pork spending, RP and the democrats ignored the pledge and continued paying the political machines that put them in office.  he would fit right in with rahm emmanual.
REAL conservatives don't worship any candidate.  that's for liberals and their ilk.
And this has WHAT to do with socialism and gun grabbing?

And while you may worship at the feet of Oromambama, the gun grabbing socialist, real conservatives recognize that no one is perfect, and try not be sacreligious about it.

Psstt...Romboy has done more than HIS share of time at the federal trough too.

I feel like we started a place on this website for this exact discussion... Oh yeah, it's right here:
http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,255328.0.html

and, of course, you all knew that.  So please confine your lesser of 2 evils "material" there.  This thread was about Romney and his address to the NRA.  I don't see Ron Paul or any Lesser of Two Evils topics in the title.

TM7,

Whle I frequently disagree with you on social issues, yu are dead on with the above post.

I keep telling these guys, "You can't go by listening to the noises coming out of their mouths. You have to watch what they DO!"

Romney has proven by his actions that he is not a friend of firearms owners and that he is just as socialistic as Obummer.

And I can almost garauntee that if, by some remote chance, he gets elected, he will continue in the behaviour he has always displayed.......while making noises with his mouth about how he loves gun owners and hates socialistic programs. I'm betting the government buracracy will expand worse than we have ever seen under a Romney administration.

An example of just how gullible he believes you are, virtually talking out of both sides of his mouth and expecting everyone to believe he's progun:

Supports Second Amendment rights but also assault weapon ban
Q: As governor you signed into law one of the toughest restrictions on assault weapons in the country.
A: Let’s get the record straight. First of all, there’s no question that I support 2nd Amendment rights, but I also support an assault weapon ban. Look, I’ve been governor in a pretty tough state. You’ve heard of blue states. In the toughest of blue states, I made the toughest decisions and did what was right for America. I have conservative values.

    Scoot;
An excellent example of "selective hearing"..especially oin your efforts to justify Obamanation.  You asked what new laws he has created...don't you know ?  First he circumvents congress with somne 32 "czars" who can and do create "fiat laws".. DUH!

Every Administartion fills positions through appointed Subject matter experts (CZAR's) as you call them to head departments etc.. . "Czar" is a label bestowed by the media . I believe when I researched this and the Bush administration appointed more CZARs than any other administration . I will find the factcheck and post later in the week.

Updated : Here ya go IG  - Obama admin 8 , Senate 9 , Bush admin 35.

You can read full fact check here -  http://www.factcheck.org/2009/09/czar-search/

Excerpt

As for Obama having an unprecedented number of czars, the Bush administration had even more appointed or nominated positions whose holders were called "czars" by the media. The DNC has released a Web Video claiming that there were 47, but it’s counting multiple holders of the same position. We checked the DNC’s list against Nexis and other news records, and found a total of 35 Bush administration positions that were referred to as "czars" in the news media.

In fact, of the 32 czars Beck lists:
  • Nine were confirmed by the Senate, including the director of national intelligence, the chief performance officer and the deputy interior secretary.
  • Eight more were not appointed by the president – the special advisor to the EPA overseeing its Great Lakes restoration plan is EPA-appointed, for instance, and the assistant secretary for international affairs and special representative for border affairs is appointed by the secretary of homeland security.
  • Fifteen of the "czarships" Beck lists, including seven that are in neither of the above categories, were created by previous administrations. (In some cases, as with the "economic czar," the actual title – in this case, chairman of the president’s economic recovery advisory board – is new, but there has been an  official overseeing the area in past administrations. In others, as with the special envoy to Sudan, the position is old but the "czar" appellation is new.
  • In all, of the 32 positions in Beck’s list, only eight are Obama-appointed, unconfirmed, brand new czars.

If one of the "evils" had his way, there might not be any guns being made in the U.S. today.
him and his liberal cronies wanted to allow frivilous law suits to bankrupt that industry.
I'm speaking of RP.
the anti gun people have deep pockets.

Quite a stretch for a "conservative". Notice that didn't want to mention what the rest of that was about.....typical lib tactic.

Yet you've already stated that you'd vote for him if he were the nominee.

that's right.  as bad as he is, he doesn't hold a candle to obama.
obama is like kruschev, RP is more like hitler.
obama has had four years to push his agenda.
we could probably neutralize RP pretty quick.
