I've not used the DuraCoat and have only painted a couple of shotguns used for turkey hunting. The 1100 was painted with bow camo paint as was the Browning BPS 10 ga. The 1100 has been covered pretty well for nearly 40 years.. the BPS much less but even it has been painted for 10+ years.. Surface prep is everything...

Thanks, yea prep work is 90% of refinishing anything.Buy the time I'm done de-greaseing,boiling and de-greaseing again they'll be cleaner than they ever will be. Not sure about the OD green now, but to late now it's already on it's way. :o

I'd say the color will work just fine. The colors of nature cover nearly an unlimited pallet.. Sounds like your hiding the whole collection!

Did the 10-22 and a old 1911 I built from spare parts in WW2 O.D. green last night and I must say I'm quite pleased with it. The 45 is a old slide that was decommissioned and welded back together at one time or another, not sure if it was a surplus gun or not but it has on the right side mod. 1911. U. and right after the U. is were the slide was cut. Not really sure what it will look like but I decided to have all the parts a matte blk. Now to do the 38 and two lever guns these will be in matte blk.
