Model 24 .22 short
« on: April 18, 2012, 12:57:52 PM »
The rifle I received when my father passed away was a model 24 semi-auto in .22 short only. Made in 1924 and purchaced from his paper route profits. It was the first firearm I ever fired. Its been well taken care of. I guess it has not been used in 30 years so I took it apart to check it and lube it. My youngest nephew is doing his firearms safety class and I am  going to let him use it for the course. I know all is right with it but I think I will poke a few shorts out the barrel tomorrow just to bring back some memories.

As kids, a friend had one thaqt was retired from a shooting range.  It was so worn that it would frequently go full auto, what a blast!  Really neat on rats and starlings at the dump.
