Blue Lacys (herding & hunting dogs)
« on: January 12, 2003, 07:02:59 PM »
Ours is turning out to be a great suburban house dog. He is silent on track, and points on tree instead of baying. He has a strong herding instinct too; herds kids well, without them realizing it, and was used the other day to herd a neighbor's runaway dog into the back yard. And seems to get along well with other dogs too.

I would not recommend this breed as a house/family dog if you have small children, they are very alpha-oriented. kids over the age of 6 or 7 should be just fine.

The breeder I used was Tom Graham. Good blood, he uses them for hogs.
