From a local news service:
"About 10:45 p.m., police and paramedics responded to the home at *********, police spokesman said, When they arrived, they located the body of a deceased male lying in the driveway of the residence, "the victim had apparently been shot and had succumbed to his injuries. And police said they suspect foul play." 
Or at least an accident most foul!
Trouble is this is the same police department as the one that patrols where I live!!
Or maybe it's just the reporter struggling with the English language...
