.769, a 3/4" ball bearing fits perfect.  This is the cannon that was offered by Little Seacoast on the BP Mortar & Cannon classifieds.  In the future I plan to make a 1/5th scale 9" Dahlgren barrel for the marsilly carriage and a #2 field carriage for the napoleon barrel.

Glad to see you're enjoying the gun, I used to shoot it off the front porch a lot. Replaced it with a Dahlgren on a sliding barbette carriage in .75 cal from Dominic- now my favorite "front porch artillery" gun.
