Thinking About An Encore
« on: May 27, 2012, 04:19:31 AM »
A local shop has one in .375H&H with a huge Simmons scope on it for a reasonable price.  I'm thinking about getting it and selling the barrel and scope.  Do they make walnut forends for the muzzleloader barrel?

Not interested in Bergara barrels really.  The T/C barrels are inexpensive and I may buy a .50-70 barrel from SSK.

Like previously stated, yes you can get walnut muzzleloader forends.

You can get just about anything you want for Encores, that's what originally drew me to them.

I like your thinking on SSK barrels Swampman. First class from what I have seen. I know two individuals that have the "other barrels" and have had problems with them. However a gun smith did solve their problems. You get what you pay for. .50-70 seems like a fun caliber to play with (and make meat).

Cheers
