Since I started this thread, figured I'd touch back with the latest findings on this handgun. It really likes factory Federal 115 gr bullets. Has some distinct dislikes too. Went the loop with 124 and 147gr factory loads and none shoot as well as the 115 Federals. Still places 124s 4" left and 4-5" higher, the 147s go 4" left and string vertically. I did not go into details earlier but this gun was going to be an informal fun shooter, plinker, bolling pins and I didn't plan on loading for it..... was going to shoot cheap factory loads everyone was talking about.
I bought a set of 9MM dies, stayed with powders on hand, and obtained a trial pack of bullets from Berrys Bullets for $6.00 to cover the postage. It likes the 115 gr Berrys flat points over a mild charge of WW 231. Shoots them as well/better than the factory Federals. I like the Berrys load, shoots well, plated bullets are priced competively, and they are available directly from the manufacturer. From what others have said, they're always available from Berrys so I'll stick with them as the regular load. Availability these days is a big factor.
Also tried 115 gr Speer Gold Dots and unique. This load shoots better than anything tried so far, however the cost of 100 Gold Dots is about the same as 250 Berrys and Berrys pays the haul to your door.
