Maybe they should claim illegals crossing the desert while entering the U.S. could suffer undue hardship if the city of Tombstone doesn't have a reliable source of water. Sounds like a clear cut case of  racial profiling and discrimination -get Eric Holder to sue the Forest Service on behalf of the Obama Administration.

It would appear that something a bit more reasonable could be worked out. Don't see where Obama's the problem just possibly the forest service. How long has the non-motorized thing been in effect? Their own governor must not be too concerned since she only allowed for $50,000 in emergency funds which would seem like a drop in the bucket toward fixing this up.

TOBSTER. I bet you are right. Obummer would be all over it if he felt it might impede safe passage to one of his voting bases. This is clearly even more of the feds sticking their noses where they don't belong. High time the State said ENOUGH and called out the State guard to blaze the way and clear the feds out of there. Water is a very big deal in Arizona and I would expect that if the spigot of state funds is opened significantly, over half the towns in Arizona are going to want equal consideration.  Tombstone is kind of a nonessential entity.

      You really are great at not even seeing the "elephant in the room" !  Here, let me help you..when the people of Tombstone were told they could not use such things as dozers and backhoes, one of the laborers brought out a wheelbarrow..and was promptly told by the feds.."that is too high tech for the job"..DUH!  The Gov only allowed a small amount for the repair, because it would likely be a simple 2-3 day job with proper equipment and operators...but the inefficent, wasteful way the feds want it done runs the cost up exponentially ! 
..QUIT DEFENDING THE INDEFENSIBLE !

  Tombstone is a historic landmark..just as the Alamo, Mt Rushmore or the Concord Bridge..and should be preserved.  Tombstone is called "The town too tough to die"..  but it can be murdered..by federal abuse, especially considering that Obammy probably gets few votes and no "bundlers" from Tombstone.
  Then too..making Tombstone a wilderness may clear the trail for illegals..
