Nope, I'm talking about the bleeding heart, do-gooder nonsense being spewed by the idiots on the extreme left and being lapped up by their lapdogs in the press.
The woman being interviewd in this segment of the (gag!) popular NPR series,
Latino USA, is Sonia Nazario, author of a book about a Latin American minor crossing illegally into this country--largely about the unfair treatment he received at the hands of US Border Protection personnel and US Immigration courts. The author won a Pulitzer for this drivel, which, of course, says a lot about the, um, value of that particular prize.
To briefly sum up, this idiot's solution to the thousands of children who flee their native countries to join their wetback parents here is to spend more US tax money on creating jobs in those countries, so that parents and kids won't have to come here. Yep, that's right. Somehow, despite indisputable evidence that government spending cannot create jobs even here in this country (where corruption is relatively limited), we are supposed to just hand over more billions to corrupt a-holes in Mexico and Central America so that they can magically create jobs there.
The worst of it? This stupid broad's book has been "adopted" by 50+ US universities as study material. Is it any wonder we're churning out totally brainwashed thinking-impaired college graduates by the tens of thousands?
