Updated today at 7:42 PM Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- The Belle of Louisville is kicking off its 98th season on the water this holiday weekend.
The crew made sure the ship was prepped before it took off for its Memorial Day cruise at noon.
Organizers say they set a picnic theme for Monday cruise, and say it is the just the beginning.
“This will be a great season full of family fun, dance cruises, lot cruises, we're going to do a harbor cruise on both the belle and spirit,” says Kelly Greem, the Sales & Marketing Director, Belle of Lousiville.
Organizers say they are also holding events counting down to the Belle's 100 birthday in 2014.
