Black bear euthanized after eating convicted murderer's remains in Canada.

Sometimes I just scratch my head, Bears do what bears do.
Seems a shame they put the bear down for doing what comes naturally. Scavenging.

 VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Canadian conservation officers have euthanized a black bear that ate the remains of a convicted murderer. British Columbia Environment Minister Terry Lake said Monday the bear's description matched that of one seen guarding a cache that contained the remains Rory Wagner, 54. Examinations of fur at the scene as well as teeth and claw marks confirmed the bear that was euthanized is the one that ate the remains. Lake said the animal was put down because bears remember food sources. Officials suspect the bear pulled Wagner's body from his car after he died on a remote logging road.

No good deed goes unpunished.   Bear just cleaning up the neighborhood, had a hankering for some scum.
 
Yes, I do understand the thought process here. Not all scum has the prison tattoo's.

I have read where authorities claim that once they eat a human they will get a taste for it and become man eaters. I dont buy it.

Hey that's an Idea lets be like the Romans and throw all the murderers and child molesters in a big cage with starving bears, at least we could get some entertainment for our tax dollars.
