I'm guessing it would be one of the european guns, maybe a dural receiver krieghoff or Blaser?

thank you for your reply drilling man. I am also wondering if the 412 valmets are heavier than the old tikka 12-70? Iguess it is also the m07 and ithaca turkey gun. We use them for coyotes around here.NOT for still hunting. with dogs they get beat up alot.I have the spr94. Its a club!!!!!!!!!! Want to get somthing light under 1000.00 The tikkas my friends use are 7 1/4 pounds. Some of those tikkas are marked ithaca some just have 12-70. They all have hammers and muzzle brakes on the riffle. The barrels are tighter together than the 412/512.

I have a Meffert Dural combo that I will weigh tomorrow.  But I think the Stags Built might be lighter.

Zoli looks like a Tikka 512 which is the Tikka licensed build of the Valmet 412.

I bet they weight about 8 lbs.

Doug, sorry for the delay. Don't know how much it costs. I do know that the single-shot stalking rifle I saw that appeared to be very Blaser K-95 like, was around 4K. Really nice gun. Good balance. Contact Joe Martinelli @ Jmar@drillinghotline.com, or call (845) 496-7584. Nice guy to talk with. Very informative. They also have Krieghoff.

I have the identical Zoli and it weighs about 8.5 + with a scope mounted. Standard Itallian overhead sear (IIRC) gun with regulation adjustable barrels.  I wanted a lighter gun as well, but the rifle barrel groups just over .5 at 100 with handloads so I decided that this one would stay in the rack for now.

Cheers

My Meffert 16 ga/8x57R, steel receiver, weights 5 lb. 15 oz. without scope and 6 lbs. 13 oz. with its claw mounted Pecar scope. The set trigger on the rifle barrel makes it about perfect.

Hey Hank,
thats a nice combo gun you have.  What scope are you using?  Does it have Dural on the underside of the receiver?

thanks

Doug

Nope it's all steel and the Pecar scope is a straight 4 power. This is the one that breaks open with an lever under the triggerguard with 27" barrels, flipup rear sight on barrel, also have the leather scope case  for carrying the scope over your shoulder. One of my favorites.
