Handi-pistol?
« on: June 05, 2012, 03:47:11 AM »
Hello All,

Will H&R sell a bare SB2 receiver that has not yet been assembled?

I ask because, if available, this item could be used to create a pistol for my own use--as long as I never transfer it, this is A-OK.

Last year's ATF ruling that (as long as it started life as a pistol,) a long barrel and buttstock could be attached without legally "making" a rifle allows the ability to basically swap between pistol and "rifle" configuration.  This seems like a neat idea, as long as you never put the short barrel and buttstock on at the same time.

Thanks for the advice (and, I suppose, "flame on!")

No, they won't, they only sell complete firearms, they won't sell just a frame.
