Long Ride
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:59:55 PM »
My Club's national meeting was this last weekend in Orlando.  Nice ride down, only got a few miles of rain in FL.

WHAT A 2 DAY PARTY!!   :o   :P  We filled up most of the hotel and I'm sure what few citizens there were staying there felt safe and sound with all the bikers around!   ;D

Saturday Kathie and I drove to Lady Lake to see the oldest girl and grandbabies.  An extra treat was the oldest boys daughter was visiting with them from Alabama so we got to see her to!

All in all a good trip.  We left around 9:30 am Sunday for the 7-8 hour run back to north metro Atlanta.  Our VP "Deuce" can get 230 miles or so per tank full on his new bike and that boy is a ridin fool!   ::)  He don't want to stop for nuthin!  If I'd a been ridin my bike my hundred mile butt would a been hurtin!   :-\

Then, in south Jawja we hit the rain!  :(  for 50 - 75 miles it rained like a cow pissin ona flat rock!  Couldn't see 50 feet mosta the time... When we finally stopped for gas again I told my brothers how bad I felt for them!  And if Kathie hadn't insisted on going and making me drive her new BMW, she hates motorcycles..., I woulda been right there with them!  Well since this is a family site I can't type what they said, but I think they doubted my sincerity!   :-\

what are you riding, AtLaw?
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

A Suzuki LC 1500.  But it's got so many HD parts on it it leaks oil!   ;D

That's a good line.

I'm looking for a Bandit 1200S or 1250... I want something like my old GS1100E, just more modern. Looked at a pristine 5000mile 1980 KZ750 the other day, and was tempted. Canadian bike, looks near-new. Much as I like old bikes, though, I'm going to go for something a tad more modern. If it were an old GS in like condition, I'd have bought it.
