Remington Model 5
« on: June 02, 2012, 06:42:31 AM »
I was looking around on Remington's website the other day and came across a the model 5.  It says it is discontinued but it looks like a nice .22. Anybody have any experience with this little rifle?

That rifle was made by Zastava , like the 798 and 799 . They all went away at the same time , when Rem. and Zastava parted company . That was a fine .22 for sure , there are still some around though on the auction sites !

Thanks for the information.  I've been packing around my old 10/22 for years and I've been comtemplating getting a bolt action .22 to use instead.  The 10/22 never really impressed me much.

The 10/22 is like a Timex watch , they'll take a licking and keep on ticking . They're no going to win any beauty contests though .
