Walther P 22 Question

Recently picked up a Walther P 22 from a local pawn shop. I had owned one before and liked it but like I do sometimes I traded it for something or other. My first one was very accurate for a 3.4 " barrel but this one not so much. Groups are ok but not like I remember with my 1st one. The gun is only 2 years old but I can barely see the rifling in the barrel. Is it typical for rifling in these pistols to be this shallow ? I know I can replace the barrel but don't want to spend the money if I'm going to get the same thing.

I had one like yours.  Very accurate and fun to shoot.  One day I was shooting some winchester or remington "Expert" ammo and I begin to notice heavier kicks for a 22 LR.  I stripped the pistol and when I looked inside the bbl, it was completely leaded that you could not see the riflings anymore.  It turned out that the ammo I was shooting was the culprit in this case because when I cleaned the barrel and switch to CCI Minimags, the problem went away.  Just for S&G, I tried the "Expert" ammo again while keeping an eye and the results were the same as in the begining.  That pretty much confirmed the ammo problem.
